Christmas Eve, your not here. The ache is real. Longing for your smile, to hear your voice. I call your phone, just to hear anything, I play your video clips from when we would go feed the ducks in Marble Falls. I miss you mom,I miss you. Happy Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas family, friends, and online readers… Much has gone on this week. The biggest thing for me is I got laid off from my job, well not only me, but a whole lot of people got the axe. A week ago. I really did not hit me for a couple of days that I was jobless, but none the less, here I am, in the process of looking for new work. I had my little pity party the day I got canned, now all that is done and over with, and it is now time to look, and search hard for a new job. I have put in aplications, and I am so very thankful that my mom and dad live here, because they can help me out a little with things. I am positive everyday that I will be getting a new job if not today, tomorrow, in the coming weeks. Hey, new year, new job, new insight on life. I am not worried, I know I will get something really soon. That was really the biggest thing that happened to me over this week, and today it is Christmas day. I am loving life, and enjoying it with every day The good Lord sees fit for me.
Today, mom and dad, and I went for a ride out to Waco, TX. I do love long rides, since I don’t drive, I am a awesome rider. The weather was cloudy, and there was a winter nip in the air, it was a pretty perfect Christmas for me. Just about the way I like them to be. Since I am not a cold weather person, I prefer to have a blue sky kind of winter Christmas day, hey, it is just the kind of person I am. For me, the weather has been awesome. Still like a spring /fall kind of week.
Soon the year will be ending, and a new year will be starting, I look forward to another beginning. Here’s to a very merry Christmas my friends, family, and readers. Hope that your day is just as Merry.
So another thing checked off my list of things to do in Austin. Oh about 5 or so years ago, when I had another blog, I had made a list of the things I wanted to do, and there were plenty that included my move to Austin, and in that the things that Austin had to provide, one of which was the Trail of Lights tour. Checked off my list Saturday. I and a friend went down to Zilker Park, and did the trail of lights, and it was awesome, beyond what my mind had expected. Some told me not to get too excited, but pshh on them, I was all excited. One for the fact, that I was attending this, and another because I had never gone on a light tour, so much fun indeed.
The trip started with a bus ride to pick up friend at another bus stop, took my umbrella, because the forecast called for lots of rain, and cold, good to be prepared right. So stopped at designated stop, got off and met friend, walked over to her car, and in that instant figured out I had left my umbrella onboard the bus that had just pulled off and was on its way. Doh! Another umbrella lost, but my coat had a hoodie on it, so I was protected just in case the rains came.
We caught the next metro rapid bus, to downtown where we picked up a shuttle that was going to the trail of lights, in fact this shuttle would be dropping us off right there, no fuss, no wait, no crazy parking, it only cost five dollars per person, round trip, so I paid both our ways, and it was easy, breezy, peasy. Next stop, Trail of lights. We got there, got off the shuttle and proceeded to enjoy the lights. Here are just a few photos I took that night. It was so much fun, I had a good friend there to enjoy the time with, and got another thing checked off my Austin List.
Well perhaps this bit will be told with dazzling lights, and super good memories. Ok, so I am all a buzz with delight. I am also hoping that tomorrow nights adventure goes without rain, even though it is in the forecast. I will be heading out to the trail of lights, my first time, and I just hope that the rains stay back until I have experienced this. I will be experiencing it with a very good friend, and that keeps me in good spirit and plenty of smiles. So I am hoping to take some pretty pictures, and once that is done, I will post them here on my blog for all to see.
Life has been so busy lately, with all the family moved down here, and with the craziness that has been work, time is moving on, and moving forward, soon it will be the end of this year, and the start of the new year, to which I say… Bring it!. I continue to pray for better and that life gets more and more sweeter and richer for me and my family and friends.
May your days and nights continue to be very blessed, and may you all have all that you strive for.
To all my joyful readers and friends, A very merry Christmas to all. Last night I indulged in a bit of the vino.
Today, it will be Chicken and dressing, and maybe a bit more wine. So here is to a great day. My mom and dad are on the way, and I have the chicken in the oven. Got Die hard on. Urban cowboy later. Here’s to Christmas 2014. Have a merry one.
Well it is upon us, yes, that is Christmas Eve, the weather outside is cold, and I hope it warms up a bit, not sure if it will or not. So thought mom and dad would be heading down here today, but dad has to work, perhaps if he gets off early enough, they can head this way, if not, then they will be leaving out early tomorrow. Can’t wait.
I have work today, but I get off at 3:30 today, hopefully earlier if possible. I want to just wish all of my readers and friends, a very merry christmas, and to keep it fun, and always safe.
My bed has come! Yes, my readers and friends, it only took one year and five months; but it is finally parked nicely in my bedroom. Indeed, indeed I will be laying sweetly tonight, no more air mattresses.
So saw mom and dad off. They will be back on Christmas Eve, and spend Christmas day with me. This I must say, feels so very special. I have grown over this year, see it , and feel it. Being here feels so right. Life, well it is coming about. God is doing awesome things for me.
So today is officially the first day of winter! It is mild, I am hoping for a not so cold one here. Here’s to having a great holiday.
Indeed, indeed! What better way to start the Christmas Season, than with the four movie collection of Die Hard. Hey, we only live once, so make it a good one. Bruce Willis at some of his finest. With awesome quotes, and catch phrases. Yes, a real treasure to have in your collection. One I just picked up for mine. Happy Holiday y’all!
Today I am… Getting Seasoned! As I have said, this year I am really feeling the seasons. Today, while I ran some errands, I decided to stop by the domain mall. Just to check out the huge tree in front of Macy’s store. The twinkling light just made me smile. I am loving this season. I walked around and had a delightful time, saw a couple places I would like to explore in the food section. That got me thinking how wonderfully awesome I am, and this is my adventure, sure it is nice to have a partner who enjoys the adventure as well, but it can be cooler to explore on your own. I am seeing this,I have fought it, but really I am way to awesome to not just go and have fun on my own. This is a great season. Here are some pics.
I will have more photos of this wonderful season soon. Stay tuned.
