I have found my long lost friend. I have searched, and searched and today searched once again, and bingo I have found her. She and her husband and children have been residing in Texas for 16 years. Crazy, its been over twenty something years we have been out of touch. This truely makes my soul happy to get back in touch with her. Life is good!
Today, I helped my mom take down here Christmas tree, sure, you are probably thinking that this should have been done a few weeks ago, well you are probably right, as would my mom be, but I convinced her to keep it up a few more weeks, but today was here point were she wanted it down, so it came down and got packed up for another year.
So then as the day went on, got together with my friend, and we took a trip out to Mayfield park, I had never been there, and for me, it was another adventure in Austin. Here are a couple of photos that I took, the view was amazing to me, I would say it was peaceful, but that would be crazy, it was full of peacocks, and peacocks are loud, beautiful; but loud. I still had a blast going to this park.
We were going to go to Mount Bonnel, but it was so crowded trying to find parking, think we will have to choose another day to hit that spot, from what little I’ve seen riding up that way, it will be a most awesome trip. So I hope you enjoy these photos, because I had a great day today.
Well perhaps this bit will be told with dazzling lights, and super good memories. Ok, so I am all a buzz with delight. I am also hoping that tomorrow nights adventure goes without rain, even though it is in the forecast. I will be heading out to the trail of lights, my first time, and I just hope that the rains stay back until I have experienced this. I will be experiencing it with a very good friend, and that keeps me in good spirit and plenty of smiles. So I am hoping to take some pretty pictures, and once that is done, I will post them here on my blog for all to see.
Life has been so busy lately, with all the family moved down here, and with the craziness that has been work, time is moving on, and moving forward, soon it will be the end of this year, and the start of the new year, to which I say… Bring it!. I continue to pray for better and that life gets more and more sweeter and richer for me and my family and friends.
May your days and nights continue to be very blessed, and may you all have all that you strive for.
It actually was an easy Sunday morning for me yesterday. Woke up around 9 a.m., did some dishes and a load of laundry; then headed out the door to go to the HEB down the street to buy my weekly bus pass. Made a stop at the target, then Ross and Burke’s. I then got a call from friend, who came by and we took a impromptu road trip. It was nice, we went to Black where she grew up, got a nice lesson, we also went to Mansfield Dam, And I saw Lake Travis. Spectacular. Here are a couple of shots I got by way of phone. I took some camera shots will post later when I have time. I love Sunday drives, or in my case Sunday Rides. Enjoy your work week fans. 🙂
So it has been a week and a half into this new year. So far it has been alright, started of a bit shaky; with my computer going out, and getting a verbal warning at work for taking to long on my break, and the terrible cold, freezing, rainy weather. The flu/cold, and ceder blowing around, I have to say it has not been so bad, could always be worse in my opinion.
Today I am off, I did brave the drizzling weather; to go to the HEB up the street, that cat that comes around needed some kibble. He sure knows how to work the system, and our heart around here. I also needed to get a little bit of grub for the week. Tonight it is baked seasoned chicken quarters and California blend veggies. Got them on now.
The weather clears, by the time I finished shopping, so decided to walk back home; was nice, got my exercise in for the day. Especially with eating out Friday and Saturday. Friday I treated pat and I to burgers and fries at Frans Burgers.
Yummy. Then yesterday she treated me to Chinese.
So today I am relaxing with my coffee.
Indeed the start has not been so bad at all. Plus I’ve already cleaned around the apartment, washed clothing for the week , washed and conditioned my hair, and now listening to tunes on the radio. Sweet indeed. Hope your weekend has been an agreeable one. Here is to the new week.
Usually, I do not get out on foggy, damp days like this, unless I have to be out in it. Well, today was an off work day for me; but instead of staying put this morning, I was up and at em’. Up at four, did dishes, washed clothing, and took hot bath. Was out of the house by 8am this morning.
This foggy, wet morning I felt like a walk in the park, so that is where I went. I walked down to the park and took some photos of the last days of Spring, for winter is Sunday. So my little stroll in the park yielded these photos.
The leaves that were on this tree a week or so ago, now, laying on the ground.
It was a nice walk. I have to start back getting it together. I have seen a decline in my health, and I want to get back to being healthy. To be continued!
So my very good friend has started herself a blog on WordPress. I am so happy. She will also be heading to Honduras on a Christian mission. Send prayers out to my friend Olivia. This woman I admire, a very good friend.
Now that I am back in the apartment, I am sitting here , watching Ghost Protocol. Also watching my tree as it twinkles with lights, and the ornaments sparkle. Life is good.
Today I am… ThanksGiving! Happy Thanks Giving y’all! Hope this day has been full of blessings, family, friends, and of course food. My thanks giving has been wonderful. First, took a walk in the park.
Then friend picked me up, we went to Luby’s for thanksgiving. Yummo!
What I had. We then hit up the movies, we went to see The Penguins of Madagascar in 3D, my first 3D movie. It was wild, I really enjoyed. We had a good time. The movie was funny, we happen to be the only two watching it at that time, still fun though. Now I am back home, all settled in, and about to pop in Superman. The original one. So here is to a wonderful thanksgiving evening.
Today I am… ThanksGiving!
