Early Morning Silence…

What I love about the early mornings in my life; are that it is filled with peace and semi-silence.  Here I am sitting out at the park next to Central Market, waiting for the time when have to be on the grind.  it is relatively quiet.  There is bustling from time to time, with joggers on the trails, and the engine hum from the truck waiting to unload; otherwise  it is a nice morning.  I so love the early morning hours.

The weather is nice at the moment, but the gray of the clouds are moving in.  weather is about to turn cold.

Glitches in my mom’s move to the rehab, her platelets were too low, so they gave her another round of blood, and is keeping her at the hospital.  She will be there all this week, and weekend.  They will see what’s what after.  I terribly hate what is going on with her, to see her in such pain.  Family, friends, and prayers is what keeps me sane.  To God goes the glory.

Yesterday I had my first Chai Latte in a year.  From Central market of course.  I am about to walk over and get me one before work.  I have definitely missed them.

So I shall enjoy my quiet time this morning, and I hope your day is filled with some quietness as well.  Until the next time, enjoy.

Awesome Finds

Yesterday me, mom, and dad went on a little day trip. To Marble Falls.  Which is a gem of a place, it was beautiful and peaceful.  This place had good fishing spots, something we have been looking for since moving here, now we found it.  It is about nine miles out of Burnett Texas.  There are fishing places in Austin, but this place is gorgeous.  I love day tripping, and always have fun when with my mom and dad that way. But that is a story for another day.  Today is a day of photos from my day trip to Marble Falls.  Enjoy.

Another thing I saw on our way to marble falls, was in Burnett Texas, they have an air museum.  They are also having an air show in September, and I am hoping that I can attend that.  Too Soon to tell, but keeping fingers crossed, since I have a thing about air shows, and have missed them for so many years.  It would be good to get to one.  Another story for another day my friends.

A Day at the Park

Today, I helped my mom take down here Christmas tree, sure, you are probably thinking that this should have been done a few weeks ago, well you are probably right, as would my mom be, but I convinced her to keep it up a few more weeks, but today was here point were she wanted it down, so it came down and got packed up for another year.

So then as the day went on, got together with my friend, and we took a trip out to Mayfield park, I had never been there, and for me, it was another adventure in Austin.  Here are a couple of photos that I took, the view was amazing to me, I would say it was peaceful, but that would be crazy, it was full of peacocks, and peacocks are loud, beautiful; but loud.  I still had a blast going to this park.

We were going to go to Mount Bonnel, but it was so crowded trying to find parking, think we will have to choose another day to hit that spot, from what little I’ve seen riding up that way, it will be a most awesome trip.  So I hope you enjoy these photos, because I had a great day today.

A beautiful Austin skyline.  The downtown buildings all lit, the atmosphere delightful.  Thus was fourth of July.  Went to see the fireworks, first time.  It was amazing, and beautiful.  They say about 100,000 people were there that day/night.  I can believe it.  The place was packed, I was one of the 100,000.  Yes!  This is the place I live, and the beauty that I see.

Destination unknown

Here on this rainy Sunday, which happens to also be Father’s Day!  Happy Father’s Day to all the father’s online and off.

Riding on the bus to I don’t know wherevilles.  All I did know, was I had to get out.  Still not sure to where.  I have my camera just in case.  It rains on and off.  Just one of those kinds of days you want out of house or in my case apt.  Anyhoo enjoy your day.

Day 139:

Today I am…  Taking it in.  My day off of course.  After church this morning, I went on a long walk in the park, it was a most beautiful morning.  Sure, there were clouds overhead and it was a bit hazy looking, but it was morning and it was warming up pretty quickly.  I love walking in the park, I do get emotional when it’s such a beautiful day out, and I see the splendor of its beauty, the splendor of which God has created and given to us to enjoy.  Well I am enjoying it.  I walked along the trails, this is why I love Austin.  There are so many parks and trails that you can run, walk, bike, and hike.  The park here is close to where I live, so it’s easy access, and I would be a fool not to take full advantage of it.

Three photos I took today while I was walking in the park.  Oh the beauty.  While I was walking, I was thinking, well it’s a place, or just one of the places I do my best thinking, any who.  I have decided that since I will be working mornings this week, that I will take full advantage of my walking time, and instead of when I get off work, and taking the bus to the park in ride where I live, I will get off before and just walk down to my apartments, that will save me time of having to sit and wait at the park in ride, and it will give me even more exercise during the week.  Since the bus stop is just down the street.  It will be nice to get out and walk in the daytime, since I have to catch the bus early in the morning, the afternoon will be my walking treat.  Plus it’s a way to combat all that sitting at work for me, want to keep it active, and get my summer walking legs in shape.

Next Sunday will be great as well, it will be the Pecan Street Festival, and I will be heading downtown to check that out as well.  More walking, browsing, and photo taking.  Stay tuned.

So now I will enjoy the rest of my day by watching some movies.  Hope that you have had a great weekend, and may your Working week start off great also.

Today I am…  Taking it in.

On the second day in December my true love gave to me…

Prefect weather.  And to all wondering, my true love is God.  Today he has blessed Austin with 72°.  I am basking in all its’ glory here at the park.  Finished up at the library and now taking a little time to myself, watching the joggers’ jog and the biker’s bike.  Oh glory be!  There is a bench by a small pond, and short bridge, that over looks the park.  I took this photo from my phone and just did a little editing.  Oh what a beautiful day it is.

Where-ever you may be today, I hope it is a beautiful day for you.  If so, get out and enjoy it.
