So as the story goes, sitting on the pond at lake Marble falls, not doing any fishing, just photographing things. My mom hooked a big un’. Well I have no photo to show, only because, it snapped her line, and got away. Aww, but it was a huge one indeed. She was using a piece of slim Jim as her bait. I do think it was a bass, it was really big, and it really set the tone for her day, because she did not catch another big fish for the rest of the afternoon. But that did not stop my dad from catching a nice haul, he caught a medium fish, then some smaller ones. It was a perfect day for him, but in all it was a pretty good day out on the pond for all. Here are some of the photos I took.
Here’s to having fun, good family, and fine fishing. See you on the lake side of life.
Yesterday me, mom, and dad went on a little day trip. To Marble Falls. Which is a gem of a place, it was beautiful and peaceful. This place had good fishing spots, something we have been looking for since moving here, now we found it. It is about nine miles out of Burnett Texas. There are fishing places in Austin, but this place is gorgeous. I love day tripping, and always have fun when with my mom and dad that way. But that is a story for another day. Today is a day of photos from my day trip to Marble Falls. Enjoy.
Another thing I saw on our way to marble falls, was in Burnett Texas, they have an air museum. They are also having an air show in September, and I am hoping that I can attend that. Too Soon to tell, but keeping fingers crossed, since I have a thing about air shows, and have missed them for so many years. It would be good to get to one. Another story for another day my friends.
With my mom, this would be her first trip to an Austin museum, so I took her to The Blanton Museum downtown. She loved it, now she can’t wait to go to more museums. One of the things I love about having my mom living here in this city, is that there are more things to do with her, more food to eat, more places to see, and more things to do, yes, I love this city.
Week 52: ( picture this )
So the 52 week project has come to an end. This being the last photo. What do you think, have these photos made you think or feel anything? For me, well at the ending months, it became harder to find things I wanted to photograph or put in. I made it through none -the-less. This is something I am glad I did. What is next you may or may not ask, that I do not know, but whatever it may be… stay tuned.
As for this photo, took it at the local wally world. I have never had snails before, and they looked interesting. For a photo, not to eat. Ick! Would you ?
Yeah, good luck with that. I mean, I have been in a photographic slump for a while now, that energized feeling just isn’t the same, it saddens me somewhat. I seemed to have lost that photo feeling, these days instead of being overjoyed with having this wonderful camera, that I finally bought myself last year, most days I just look at it, sitting in the corner of the apartment. I haven’t been compelled to shoot anything really. I practically have to make myself pick it up, the photos you see on my 52 weeks, come from my camera phone, and I barely want to even take photos from that. I really used to think that I wanted a career in photography; possibly food photography, or something else, really now , I do not, it just seems like a drag. I mean I love looking at beautiful photos, and some photos I take, I think, heck, I took that, so pretty, but the joy just seems to have been sucked out of me. I am hoping that this is only a little glitch and that I will get that photo feeling back. Until then, I will try picking up my camera, and hoping some kind of spark ignites.
