GoT… and other shows.

Wholly dragon balls my friends, well friends who watch The Game of Thrones.  Last nights episode was Amazing!  Got to see Bran, and got to see at the end of course, what happened to Jon Snow!!!  If that wasn’t crazy, I don’t know what is, but then again it is only episode 2.  Whoa, whoa, whoa, this season is going to kick ass so hard, I am loving this show.  So glad I am able to watch it.  I will eventually have all the boxed sets.  Last night was crazy good, can’t wait to catch next Sundays episode.  Seriously people, I recommend this 200 percent.

I also recommend watching The blacklist.  With liz now dead, of course I don’t believe she is really gone, I think it is just to throw the bad guys off her sent, that have been hunting her down, they had to play like she died, but you know how writable these stories can be, I do believe that she is off for now, because she did have a baby in real life, they had to write all that into the story line, but it’s all hear say from me, I am not all that sure, but I am going with this story.  It has gotten really awesome, and since I  read that it has been picked up for season 4, I am all giddy with glee.  So watch, it is a really good show.

I am watching season 3 of The agents of Marvel, really good, really good, they also have been picked up for another season.  So, pretty much this year has been well off for things to watch, then of course there is Netflix, and the originals and things they are showing, loving every minuet of it, when I can get around to watching.  That is pretty much about it for now, so until the next time show watchers, enjoy this season, of prime time.

The Wheels on my mom’s car go round and round.

My mom is learning Austin like a pro.  Today she made it over to the arboretum, and the sam’s club, the other day, we went to the domain and the walks of the arbors, where Sam Moon is, she drove it.  I am proud of her.  usually we take the bus, to different places, there are places here that she knows how to get to by driving, and she pretty much knows her way around round rock and George Town, so Austin, is getting its work out as well.  We go on the bus first, then she drives it, by that time, she sees that we don’t have to go this way or that, and where she can turn off to get to a place faster, so cool.  She loves it here, and getting to know all of Austin has been pretty cool as well.  Since I don’t drive, I take the bus, when needed, but know, if we go out, she drives it, so the bus rides are getting fewer.  Of course there will be times, and situations, where the bus will be a must, but also know that the car is an option as well.

Plus, the time is coming fast, that I will be in training, and won’t have the days off to just go and hang out, so trying to get it all in now, that work/life balance thing is still something I am trying to figure out.  I am ready to get back on the job, don’t get me wrong, being able to sit and watch shows like crazy has its perks.  I just finished season two of Wentworth, this show is pretty dang good, I highly suggest the watch.

Well that time is upon us, you know…  Tax Time, I am still waiting for my w-2, then I am off to get it filed, have to go to another free place this year, but once it is all done, I will be so happy it has been taken care of for another year.  Well, once again, today has been a nice sunny day, yeah, this is me loving this winter season here in Austin.  Until the next time readers, here’s to a great day.

Nailed it!

That would be the interview I had scheduled for today, yes, I nailed that bitch down.  They made me an offer right on the spot.  Now by no means does it mean I am all the way in, I am in by way of getting the offer, and starting the intense 7 week training leading up to the actual job, if you know what I mean.  I start the training on the 8th of next month.  It is Monday thru Friday, from 8 to 5, for seven weeks, 4 weeks training, 2 weeks of phone and being on the floor, taking calls, and putting in what you have learned, and 1 week of everything else, then if that is aced, then I will be on the floor and one of the agents there.  Oh Lord, thank you.  I am going to have to really buckle down, take notes like no ones business and get my mind prepared to do this.  New year, new endeavors.  That interview, might have been the hardest I had to do, but I prepared a little more than usual.  I am just thanking the Lord for more opportunities that keep on coming my way.  Stay tuned…

In light of great news for me, sad news for the world once again, Glen Frey died the other night.   So very tragic,  I wanted to see The Eagles when they performed here in Austin last year, but was not able to do that.  Here today, gone tomorrow at times, may he rest in peace.  This starting year, has really been a sad beginning in the world of music, and television.

Speaking of television, I just started watching this show on NetFlix last night, the first season of The Gates.  It is about a gate guarded community, and the new police chief that is in charge of policing it.  Behind the gates, hold lots, and lots of secrets. Vampires, witches, wearwolves, oh my!  So many secrets.  I am liking it, so tonight I just may finish up this first season.  Looking forward also to season 6 of Game of Thrones, as well, but that is not until April.  Hi ho friends, off to watch The gates, here’s to a great day, and awesome night, along with awesome winter weather here in Austin, sun shine, and smiles.

Love knows no ending

Five years ago, I fell madly in love.  With the show Justified!  Yes,a television show like none I have ever seen.  It had gorgeous characters and brilliant writing.  I was hooked when I laid my eyes upon Deputy Marshall Raylin Givens, as played by timothy Oliphant.  It was a love affair that lasted six seasons.  Oh yes, we have had out differences; but overcame them.  Oh he left a trail of bodies from Miami to where it ended in Harlin Kentucky.  From the first scene with him telling one Tommy Bucks to leave Miami in 24 hours or he would shoot him.  To which he did, shoot Tommy bucks that is; to his  show down with or drawdown with Boone in the end.  It has been one hell of a show, with everything in between.

Yes indeed, I am madly in love with this show , love knows no ending; even though the show ended this year, and I have all the seasons for my collection.  I totally love the ending and how they wrapped or tied it all up.  I swear, most shows leave you with a fairly bad taste in your mouth, Justified was not that kind of show.  Sure, it could have continued to go on( I wish it would have), but the way they closed it out was top notch writing and superb acting.  For that I thank you Graham Yost, And the late Elmore Leonard.  This was truly a show for the ages.  If you have not watched it, download or go buy the DVD.  I highly recommend.  My love for this show has  been Justified!

Day 278:

Today I am…  Intrigued!  That’s right my loyal reader’s.  Deborah has a new Netflix series addiction.  “The BlackList”  it stars James Spader, oh my, and it is thrilling, I am liking it mucho gusto!  I just turned it on yesterday evening once I got out of work, have been seeing it on there, but always passed it up, well decided to see what it was all about, and boy am I glad I stopped at it.  I have it all cued up right now, and once I finish this post, it is going on.  If you should happen across it on your Netflix, I highly recommend it.  Good watching.

So after work, called mom, they are on their way this way.  This is the last time I will see both for a bit, dad is going to be heading back to work, so won’t get to see him, he still has to get his lens put into his eye, that will take place in a couple of days.  He also has to pass the eye part of his physical, so that also will take place next week some time, So they will be here till Wednesday, always glad to see them, tonight I am making spaghetti.  So until tomorrow my reader’s enjoy the end of your weekend, and may the start of the new week bring nothing but blessings and Joy.

Today I am…  Intrigued!

The Start of Something Good

So it started back up with the television series Torchwood, and proceeded on to what I have in my Netflix repertoire.  Now things have branched out, new and older programs.  I have now watched The Fall, Happy Valley, South cliffe, and I am now into the first season of six seasons of Prime Suspect.  I have dived into Luther, and I am all giddy with all that I have been seeing.  There are much, much more to go, I have always had an infinity for british comedies, and British shows, now I can really indulge it on Netflix.

Day 260:

Today I am…  Doing Nothing.  That is right my friends, just doing nothing of the sorts.  Today is my day off, and I am not doing anything special today with it, just going to lounge around my little apartment, type out this blog, watch some Netflix, which I have been getting into some Netflix original series, and they have been really good.  I just finished one called Happy Valley, if you happen to have Netflix, I am really suggesting you check it out, it is a bbc broadcast, very good though.  Right now as I type this out, I have Pandora streaming away.  I feel like a little music for the day.

Got assessed yesterday at work, then mentored for one of the clients I am on, the assessment was ok, not great, but just ok, I really do need a bit more help on this one, so I am hoping to get more mentoring on this client, as for the mentoring I did get on the other client, that went good, they say I am doing alright on it, so that makes me smile.  Yup, in six months I will have been there for a year, I am hangin’ in there.  Who knows where my next step will be…  Stay tuned.

The weather has been in and out the past few days, all the while I was taking my umbrella with me everywhere, there was no rain, the moment I leave it at home for the day, it rains, man isn’t that ironic.  Life has a way of laughing at you, great laugh life, but I am still chugging along.  It’s all good.  I will be taking my umbrella with me from here on out, the smaller one in my purse.

Well it is about lunch time, so off I go to have something to eat, here’s to having a great day.

Today I am…  Doing Nothing.
