Well, seems like I have gotten onboard with the relaxation of adult coloring books. I bought myself one yesterday, and this is the fist page I did, let me tell you; so relaxing. So total win-win for me. All adults out there who still have a passion for coloring, get out there and color your world.
Week 52: ( picture this )
So the 52 week project has come to an end. This being the last photo. What do you think, have these photos made you think or feel anything? For me, well at the ending months, it became harder to find things I wanted to photograph or put in. I made it through none -the-less. This is something I am glad I did. What is next you may or may not ask, that I do not know, but whatever it may be… stay tuned.
As for this photo, took it at the local wally world. I have never had snails before, and they looked interesting. For a photo, not to eat. Ick! Would you ?
So another thing checked off my list of things to do in Austin. Oh about 5 or so years ago, when I had another blog, I had made a list of the things I wanted to do, and there were plenty that included my move to Austin, and in that the things that Austin had to provide, one of which was the Trail of Lights tour. Checked off my list Saturday. I and a friend went down to Zilker Park, and did the trail of lights, and it was awesome, beyond what my mind had expected. Some told me not to get too excited, but pshh on them, I was all excited. One for the fact, that I was attending this, and another because I had never gone on a light tour, so much fun indeed.
The trip started with a bus ride to pick up friend at another bus stop, took my umbrella, because the forecast called for lots of rain, and cold, good to be prepared right. So stopped at designated stop, got off and met friend, walked over to her car, and in that instant figured out I had left my umbrella onboard the bus that had just pulled off and was on its way. Doh! Another umbrella lost, but my coat had a hoodie on it, so I was protected just in case the rains came.
We caught the next metro rapid bus, to downtown where we picked up a shuttle that was going to the trail of lights, in fact this shuttle would be dropping us off right there, no fuss, no wait, no crazy parking, it only cost five dollars per person, round trip, so I paid both our ways, and it was easy, breezy, peasy. Next stop, Trail of lights. We got there, got off the shuttle and proceeded to enjoy the lights. Here are just a few photos I took that night. It was so much fun, I had a good friend there to enjoy the time with, and got another thing checked off my Austin List.
Well perhaps this bit will be told with dazzling lights, and super good memories. Ok, so I am all a buzz with delight. I am also hoping that tomorrow nights adventure goes without rain, even though it is in the forecast. I will be heading out to the trail of lights, my first time, and I just hope that the rains stay back until I have experienced this. I will be experiencing it with a very good friend, and that keeps me in good spirit and plenty of smiles. So I am hoping to take some pretty pictures, and once that is done, I will post them here on my blog for all to see.
Life has been so busy lately, with all the family moved down here, and with the craziness that has been work, time is moving on, and moving forward, soon it will be the end of this year, and the start of the new year, to which I say… Bring it!. I continue to pray for better and that life gets more and more sweeter and richer for me and my family and friends.
May your days and nights continue to be very blessed, and may you all have all that you strive for.
To the sweet sounds of carolers on the steps of the capitol, so many people were down at the capitol last night, so what all the to do was about, well last night was the lighting of the capitol tree, and a down town stroll. I had missed the last two tree lighting due to weather, and also being ill. So being the weather was pretty dang perfect, and I was feeling pretty cheery as well, it was the perfect time to go down town and see that tree.
So I invited my mom to come along, and we boarded the bus and headed downtown. We got there during the middle of the caroling, then it was time to light the tree. People were buzzing about, and there was a slight chill in the air, nothing that was too much. It was really nice out, so we gathered around the tree, and the countdown began. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Lights on, and all smiles and cheers. There was a light show, the tree itself bright with lights, sparkle and glitter.
With that, there was a downtown stroll, and food available, smells, sights, and sounds. A perfect time, with perfect company. With all that, here are some photos of the night. Enjoy.
This year, I am wishing you all a Happy Thanks Giving. Today I am giving thanks to The Lord, for without Him, I am nothing, can do nothing. So Thank you God. I am giving thanks for my parents, that they were able to move down to Austin, and that they have had a smooth move and have settled in very well. I am thankful for employment, it may not be the highlight of my life, but it is not a soul sucker as well. I am thankful for friends, online, offline, for with out them, life would be pretty dull. Oh there are so many things that I am thankful for. I will just stop at those, and get myself ready for work, then after, that is when the real party starts, I’m talking, chicken and dressing, ham, and all those other yummy things that will be put before me. May your thanks giving be just as awesome.
Yes, y’all it is pretty that much time of the year, well at least it is for me, where the tree comes out and I get in the spirit to decorate, so that is pretty much what I did, no waiting for after the thanksgiving season, heck I just got that tree and did it up.
So here I sit, with a bottle of white wine today, blogging this out, and posting up pictures of the decorated tree. The decorating was very fun, me and mom decorated this tree, I think it looks really beautiful. Come on Christmas, I do believe that I am ready, as ready as decorating goes, since I have not even done any shopping this year, but ah, c’est la vie, I say. So how is all your decorating for the season going, or will you just be waiting till December to put up those sparkly lights and that tree.
All that is left, is to put presents under… To be continued!
