And so do I… Day by day, as I wake from each one. Daylight gives way to nighttime, and it continues on. Today back to work, for both me and dad. He took off, to deal with social security, and also a doctor’s appointment. He is going to have to keep an eye on his high blood pressure, it was a bit high, and they found he is a little anemic. Bills are getting paid, slowly, and a bit late, but still being paid.
Yesterday, I donated money to a go fund me, for a friend on facebook, who is trying to pay for fees to get to see his little boy. I felt really strong about donating to his fund, I myself had set up a go fund me, to help pay for bills for when mom died, and what I got was very helpful, and it just made me want to pay it forward to someone else that may be in need.
This is true, life does go on, and so do I.
So as the story goes, sitting on the pond at lake Marble falls, not doing any fishing, just photographing things. My mom hooked a big un’. Well I have no photo to show, only because, it snapped her line, and got away. Aww, but it was a huge one indeed. She was using a piece of slim Jim as her bait. I do think it was a bass, it was really big, and it really set the tone for her day, because she did not catch another big fish for the rest of the afternoon. But that did not stop my dad from catching a nice haul, he caught a medium fish, then some smaller ones. It was a perfect day for him, but in all it was a pretty good day out on the pond for all. Here are some of the photos I took.
Here’s to having fun, good family, and fine fishing. See you on the lake side of life.
Yesterday me, mom, and dad went on a little day trip. To Marble Falls. Which is a gem of a place, it was beautiful and peaceful. This place had good fishing spots, something we have been looking for since moving here, now we found it. It is about nine miles out of Burnett Texas. There are fishing places in Austin, but this place is gorgeous. I love day tripping, and always have fun when with my mom and dad that way. But that is a story for another day. Today is a day of photos from my day trip to Marble Falls. Enjoy.
Another thing I saw on our way to marble falls, was in Burnett Texas, they have an air museum. They are also having an air show in September, and I am hoping that I can attend that. Too Soon to tell, but keeping fingers crossed, since I have a thing about air shows, and have missed them for so many years. It would be good to get to one. Another story for another day my friends.
With my mom, this would be her first trip to an Austin museum, so I took her to The Blanton Museum downtown. She loved it, now she can’t wait to go to more museums. One of the things I love about having my mom living here in this city, is that there are more things to do with her, more food to eat, more places to see, and more things to do, yes, I love this city.
Today, I helped my mom take down here Christmas tree, sure, you are probably thinking that this should have been done a few weeks ago, well you are probably right, as would my mom be, but I convinced her to keep it up a few more weeks, but today was here point were she wanted it down, so it came down and got packed up for another year.
So then as the day went on, got together with my friend, and we took a trip out to Mayfield park, I had never been there, and for me, it was another adventure in Austin. Here are a couple of photos that I took, the view was amazing to me, I would say it was peaceful, but that would be crazy, it was full of peacocks, and peacocks are loud, beautiful; but loud. I still had a blast going to this park.
We were going to go to Mount Bonnel, but it was so crowded trying to find parking, think we will have to choose another day to hit that spot, from what little I’ve seen riding up that way, it will be a most awesome trip. So I hope you enjoy these photos, because I had a great day today.
Oh the itchy, watery, scratchy eyes, yes! Ceder fever is in full swing, here in Austin! Not only is it freezing cold today, but my eyes are burning with allergies. No, I am not happy, I am taking some claritin-d tabs, I do think I might need something stronger. I can’t stay in all day, got to get out, hit the road, and get moving about, so I am going to have to fight this with all I have. Ugh!
On a sad note today, David Bowie had died. A very weird and musical genius, who I will miss dearly, loved his music, and his crazy styles, he was always reinventing himself and his music, just a sad day. May he rest in peace, and condolences to his family.
So friends, family, and loyal readers, I say… Will you have 1.3 billion reasons to buy a power ball ticket? I know I do, yes, I will purchase me a ticket, hey it only takes 6 numbers to win it, and you can’t win it, if your not in it. Indeed, indeed. Well time to get this day started, until the next time. Enjoy your day.
Week 52: ( picture this )
So the 52 week project has come to an end. This being the last photo. What do you think, have these photos made you think or feel anything? For me, well at the ending months, it became harder to find things I wanted to photograph or put in. I made it through none -the-less. This is something I am glad I did. What is next you may or may not ask, that I do not know, but whatever it may be… stay tuned.
As for this photo, took it at the local wally world. I have never had snails before, and they looked interesting. For a photo, not to eat. Ick! Would you ?
Week 51: ( picture this )
Looks at this, maple bacon frosting, complete with bacon bits. Yes my friends, now you can frost your cake with bacon; we love bacon, just found a new and better way to get our fix! Win win I say.
Week 50: ( picture this )
The dark overlord himself. Thought it would be cool to capture him at his greatest. Next weekend The Force Awakens is out at the theater, will you be going to see it? Me,well I just might wait till Christmas, it is still up in the air. May the force be with you.
Week 45: ( picture this )
Yes, it is me, sporting my very new umbrella. Yet another rainy Saturday weekend as well. So much so, that I did not attend this years Indian Powwow. Was up and at em this morning, but the rains came, and it was going to be my moms first powwow. We made the decision to not go, since it is far south and we did not want to get trapped in case it started to flood, since the past two weekends have been nothing but flooding. Better safe, than sorry. There is always next year; if it is to be. A bummer indeed, but it’s life.
