So today got the notion to try some bbq, I have tried Bill Millers, and it was crap. So today went for the one down the street from the apartments. Branch Bbq, I got two plates, one for me, one for my dad.
This was the 5 meat sampler. Rib,sausage, brisket, pork loin, chicken, two sides, beans potato salad, coleslaw. Cherry pie and pecan pie. Spent 50 bucks to see if it was good. The out come was 😝👎👎. We sampled it all, and the only decent thing was the chopped beef. The other things were flavorless. It was bland and dry. Nothing spectacular about the pies, and well fifty bucks tossed in the trash. I definatly will not go back there. Even the sauce could not save this bland bbq. Moving on. Will try others along the way. To be continued…
Well today anyway. Today the weather is cloudy, rainy, humid and calm. Yes, it is a pretty quiet Saturday. You know the kind that makes it feel as though it is not even a Saturday. So the rents and I took a little trip to Brady, TX. Just to get some barbecue. Sure there are tons of bbq places in austin, heck I really do need to get some, and do a comparison. Anyway, the ride was great and the bbq sandwhich was delicious.
If you happen to stop in Brady, Texas this place will not dissapoint.
So yesterday, me and a friend went out to eat, we chose to stop by the Applebees on N IH35. We were seated, and our waitress came and took our order, first off, I asked for water with lemon, and I got Water with no lemon. Next we ordered our food; I got the order of Chicken Tenders and Fries, my friend ordered a Grilled Steak and potatoes, the food was very delicious. The service not so; my friend had gotten a Blackberry Honey Iced tea, after I tasted hers, I ordered one as well. It took like forever to get that tea, plus she had messed up other peoples orders as well, she had to keep coming back to tables to re get what they had ordered, then she gave me a refill, of the suppose tea, which happen to be just plain tea, and not the blackberry honey. It is a good thing the friend was paying, for that waitress would not have gotten any kind of tip, Besides that, the food was delicious. Eat your heart out.
I won’t be going back to this particular Applebees , but there are others to choose from in the city.

Oh. What a meal this was. Still working on those leftovers. Thankful for all The Lord has supplied, in family , and friends.
That would be alligator. Today my mom, sister, nephew, and I went downtown 6th street. We went to The Pecan Street Festival. It was their first time going, they loved it. It was also a first for us all to try alligator on a stick, let me tell you; it was delicious, in fact, it tasted like chicken. Wow! Chicken. Now I can say I have experienced gator. The pecan street fest was good as always. Until the next one in the spring 2016. Enjoy!

This is my first time ever being in a Trader Joe’s store, and I say it will not be my last. It is definitely different, but something I like. I even made a purchase…
Yes, my first; but not last jar of cookie butter. I bought the crunchy. I am going to try this stuff on my waffles. Oh yeah! I think this will go in my locker at work.
Located at the Arboretum market, definite from time to time place.
